Who We Are

Family Counseling Services of Athens is a non-profit agency serving Northeast Georgia residents. The agencies core services include individual, marriage, and family counseling. In addition, Family Counseling Services operates a number of special programs addressing such community concerns as youth alcohol and drug abuse, family violence, child abuse, children's adjustment to divorce, shoplifting, and divorce mediation. Agency staff include social workers, professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, and certified addiction counselors.

We are member agency of the United Way. United Way of Northeast Georgia is a local, autonomous organization whose Board of Directors makes decisions based on the needs of the local community. The staff and volunteers are your friends, neighbors and co-workers with a vested interest in Northeast Georgia. Money raised through the annual United Way campaign is used to provide services in the county where it is raised, the county where you live.
