Goals:

The goal of this program is to assist parents in understanding the impact of divorce on children, reduce potential conflicts and offer practical solutions to future problems.

What Happens?

During this seminar you will be given a guidebook to keep for future reference. The guidebook is entitled "What About the Children: A Guide for Divorced and Divorcing Parents". This program will consist of a 30 minute video, entitled "Children in the Middle" with and additional 1.5 hour presentation providing information about the divorce process and the subsequent affects upon children. Classes are 2 hours in length. Upon completion of this program you will receive a certificate and your attendance will be confirmed with the court.

When is the class canceled?

In the event of bad weather (e,g, Snow, Ice) or other extreme situations, class may be canceled. The instructor for your class will place a notice of cancellation on his/her voicemail at 706 353-2309. You must know their voicemail box number. You can obtain this from the courts.

How do I register for the seminar?

You will be given a date and time of attendance to take this seminar from the courts. Upon receiving that information arrive at the location at the time indicated. Attendees must register BEFORE classes's begin (thus should arrive 20 minutes before class time). No one is registered after classes's are underway. In some locations, doors must be locked before class begins for security reasons. Payment of $25 must be made before the program begins, in cash or money order, or certified check (no personal checks). Children may not attend and no childcare is provided. No person under the influence of alcohol or drugs is allowed to attend. Proper attire is required. Cell phones and beepers must be quieted during class.
